Heather Cuthbertson

Heather Cuthbertson is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of Gold Man Review. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Antioch University, Los Angeles. She’s been published in a variety of literary journals and has novels forthcoming from Boroughs Publishing Group and Conquest Publishing. She recently completed Granta’s Memoir Writing Workshop.

She tends to be drawn to work that is experimental and/or has unusual topics. Ultimately, though, she’s on the hunt for compelling storytelling that draws her in.

Nick Roetto

Nick Roetto is the project manager of Gold Man Review. With an MBA and a Masters in accounting, Nick ensures that the editors don’t spend the entire budget on fancy notebooks or existential coffee breaks.

While the editorial team waxes poetic about the Oxford comma, Nick is busy making sure the numbers add up, and that someone—anyone—remembers to file taxes on time.

When not crunching numbers, Nick enjoys reminding the team that yes, words are important, but so are budgets. He has yet to win an argument against an editor in full literary rant mode, but he remains optimistic.

Eric Halpenny

Eric Halpenny is an engineer and author by night. He loves to create interesting worlds and discover the characters who inhabit them. He is often inspired in the middle of the night or while driving home from work.

He published a short novel Qui est Elise, a French learner novel through TPRS, in November 2024, and he self-published a collection of short stories entitled Thread and Other Stories in 2017. You can find him online at erichalpenny.com.

He lives in Northern California with his wife and three children. One of his favorite quotes is from Les Misérables by Victor Hugo: “To learn to read is to light a fire.” He hopes his writing will inspire a love for reading in others.

Kaitlynn Price

My name is Kaitlynn and I’m an avid reader, writer, and dream chaser. I have a master’s degree in English, Literature. My published thesis, “Psychoanalysis and Social Anxieties: A Comprehensive Analysis on the Governess” is centered around the novel Jane Eyre and Charlotte Brontë’s personal life. I’m currently working on a psychological thriller novella involving the Brontë sisters and other characters with dissociative identity disorder, whose “alter ego’s” can only be seen through mirrors. My goal is to have it published by the end of 2025. My second goal for this year is to read 52 books (I’m currently on number 4). When I’m not reading and writing, I’m a Title 1 English Aid for high school freshmen. I’m a huge Star Wars nerd, and thanks to my boyfriend, I’ve become a little of a metal head. My hobbies include golfing, running, hiking, building Lego’s, spending time with my family and boyfriend, and buying more books to feed my growing TBR list. My dog Ella is my favorite character.

Ash Rich

Ashley Rich is an avid reader, and horror writer. When she isn’t scrambling letters, she’s losing balls on the golf course, or leaving the ten-pin standing on lane 6. In her SPARE time (pun intended) she can be found gathered around the table, dice in hand, eager for that illusive nat 20, role-playing stories live with her friends and family. She lives with her husband, son, and a plethora of furry creatures.
