Gold Man Editors
Heather Cuthbertson
Heather Cuthbertson is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of Gold Man Review. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Antioch University, Los Angeles. She’s been published in a variety of literary journals and has novels forthcoming from Boroughs Publishing Group and Conquest Publishing. She recently completed Granta’s Memoir Writing Workshop.
She tends to be drawn to work that is experimental and/or has unusual topics. Ultimately, though, she’s on the hunt for compelling storytelling that draws her in.
Nick Roetto
Nick Roetto is the project manager of Gold Man Review. With an MBA and a Masters in accounting, Nick ensures that the editors don’t spend the entire budget on fancy notebooks or existential coffee breaks.
While the editorial team waxes poetic about the Oxford comma, Nick is busy making sure the numbers add up, and that someone—anyone—remembers to file taxes on time.
When not crunching numbers, Nick enjoys reminding the team that yes, words are important, but so are budgets. He has yet to win an argument against an editor in full literary rant mode, but he remains optimistic.
Eric Halpenny
Eric Halpenny is an engineer and author by night. He loves to create interesting worlds and discover the characters who inhabit them. He is often inspired in the middle of the night or while driving home from work.
He published a short novel Qui est Elise, a French learner novel through TPRS, in November 2024, and he self-published a collection of short stories entitled Thread and Other Stories in 2017. You can find him online at erichalpenny.com.
He lives in Northern California with his wife and three children. One of his favorite quotes is from Les Misérables by Victor Hugo: “To learn to read is to light a fire.” He hopes his writing will inspire a love for reading in others.
